What is CBD Oil?

Is CBD Oil Legal In Massachusetts?

Did you know that CBD is the short form of Cannabinoid? Cannabinoid is an all natural chemical compound that is extracted from the Cannabis Sativa Plant. In fact, this compound comes from the flowers, seeds, and stalks of the plant. In addition, did you know that CBD only comes from certain parts of the plant? Unquestionably, producers only use certain parts of the plant to lower the risk of getting high levels of THC.

Do you know what THC is? THC is the compound found in marijuana in which makes it very illegal in most states. It produces a feeling of being high and cause impairment to the user. However, it can also cause problems if someone smokes it and then goes to work around heavy machinery. In fact, that is putting themselves and others at risk. CBD does not contain the high levels of THC that marijuana does. In fact, many people get confused about that since they both come from the same plant. However, marijuana comes from other parts of the plant in which are not the flower, stalks, or seeds. In addition, CBD does not produce side effects like marijuana does. Did you know there are 3 types of CBD? Let us cover that now!

What Are the Three Types of CBD?

Is CBD Oil Legal In Massachusetts?

I believe understand the three types of CBD is an important step of taking CBD. In fact, why would you ingest something into your body if you do not understand what it is. However, some people have trouble understanding what they uncover during research. In fact, if you are one of those people, talk to your healthcare provider. They are there to answer any questions you may have. CBD is legal in all states, so do not be afraid to ask questions about it. In addition, they can let you know if CBD will interact with any other medications you are taking. That is truly an important fact you need to know. Here are the three types of CBD:

Types:

  • Broad Spectrum CBD –  Broad spectrum is made with all parts of the flower, stalks, and seeds. In addition, it contains cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. However, it does not contain any THC. In fact, even though it does not contain any THC, it can still produce minor side effects as it contains the cannabinoids and terpenes. If you are just starting out with CBD, this might be a good one to start with. It does not contain THC so you will not have to deal with feeling so sleepy. If you do not like this kind and prefer the kind with THC, than this next kind is for you.
  • Full Spectrum CBD – As with the broad spectrum, Full spectrum is also made with all parts of the flower, stalks, and seeds. In addition, it does contain cannabinoids, terpenes, flavoniods, fatty acids, and THC. Full spectrum can only contain up to 0.3% THC to be legal. If it contains more than that, it is marijuana. Marijuana is still legal in most states in the United States of America. In addition, keep in mind, this product does contain THC, so side effects may be present to some people. If you do not like THC nor the side effects in which can happen with CBD containing THC and terpenes, then the next one is one you want to check out.

More Types:

  • Isolate CBD – Isolate CBD is made with pure CBD. There are no terpenes, flavonoids, or THC present in this type of CBD. In fact, since none of that is present, many people have stated they feel no side effects with this. Unquestionably, this kind is perfect for people who work. If you take the THC kind, you can feel quite sedate and not want to complete your job. This could cause issues for you at work, may even get fired. Isolate CBD is the preferred kind of CBD for employed people. In addition, this kind is for people who are sensitive to THC. Many people can take THC and have stronger side effects to it than others.

Is CBD legal in All States?

CBD is legal in all states. However, each state has put their own restrictions on what makes it legal. For instance, for CBD to be legal in all states, it has to contain less than 0.3% THC. As stated above, THC is the chemical compound found in marijuana that gets you high and causes impairment. However, since the levels are so low in CBD, it does not cause this side effect. In addition, each state has set a law that says all CBD has to be produced from industrialized hemp only. If it comes from any other kind of plant, it is not legal.

For this very reason, you need to find a trusted producer and seller. If you was caught buying from someone that is using the wrong kind of plant, you could get in trouble too. There are very fine lines of being illegal and legal when it comes to CBD products. In fact, states put regulations on how you can use CBD. In some states, you can use CBD for just about all products and even add it to food and drink. Unquestionably, in other states, you are not allowed to add it to food and drinks.

You should really research your state laws and bi-laws before even starting CBD. It is better to be safe than sorry.
